FintechWomen has a vision to create an inclusive community integrating financial services and technology to attract women to the growing fintech and financial technology verticals, and provide pathways for them to thrive and advance professionally through the pillars of Collaboration, Advancement and Diversity.
FintechWomen is seeking volunteers and interns to help build out the organization’s structure and operations. Our ambitious vision is to bring change to this growing industry. Being part of FintechWomen at this early stage is an exceptional opportunity to make a mark on the organization and be a part of a diverse community that is driven to shape the industry. We are seeking accomplished professionals who are passionate about the mission and will serve with integrity. The ideal person will be a self-starter, motivated equally by self-development as by supporting the organization. Prior experience with a non-profit is not required. We are seeking dynamic and committed individuals who are willing to allocate time and contribute ideas to building and growing the organization. You will be able to build a network with the Fintech community to further your influence.
- Interns
You will be able to hone your skills, learn about emerging trends in the Fintech industry and connect with leaders and innovators in the field who are redefining financial services. You will develop professionally and & learn a broad spectrum of management skills to jumpstart your career. The opportunity will also give you ringside access to innovation in financial technologies and ability to build an early network within the community, along with marketing & promotions, business development and learning about aspects of financial technologies, build an early network in the Fintech community for career advancement. The internship will offer you credit hours towards your program. - Volunteers
As a volunteer, you will have the flexibility to support as much as you are able to. We are building for project-based commitment or time-based volunteeringWith our servant-leader philosophy, volunteers will have the ability to hone your business and leadership skills, learn about emerging trends in the Fintech industry and connect with leaders and innovators in the field who are redefining financial services. You will develop professionally and & learn a broad spectrum of management skills to advance your career. You will have the opportunity to serve on a committee and gain experience in areas such as financial reporting, marketing, promotion, event planning, fundraising, member growth and law/governance. - If you join our Strategy and Operations Committee, you would be working on one or more of these activities:
- Work with the Board to align strategy with key goals of seeking funding and fiscal sponsorship
- Develop a foundational operational model and business plans for 2022 and beyond that focuses on growth and incorporates the needs of all committees and volunteers
- Develop effective systems to track and evaluate programs and activities
- Coordinate and provide oversight to organizational activitie
- If you join our Membership Committee, you would be working on one or more of these activities:
- Develop strategy focused on expanding and curating membership
- Build out the member directory
- Developing a high-touch member relation and retention program that would include
- An Ambassador program
- An electronic welcome package for new members
- If you join our University Relations Committee, you would be working on one or more of these activities:
- Developing strategy to extend the number of student chapters at colleges and universities
- Supporting the execution of the strategy
- Developing programming focused for higher-ed and student chapters
- Developing consistent process for event and program delivery and post delivery engagement
- If you join our Corporate Relations Committee, you would be working on one or more of these activities:
- Developing a strategy to expand corporate partnerships and revitalize existing relationships
- Support the operations to execute the strategy
- If you join our Marketing Committee, you would be working on one or more of these activities:
- Develop Marketing and Communications strategy with the goal of creating a stronger brand
- Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to external relations
- Develop a consistent process for strategy execution, member engagement, event marketing and post-event engagement
- If you join our Programming Committee, you would be working on:
- Developing the annual program strategy and schedule
- Developing consistent process for event and program delivery and post delivery engagement
- Planning and delivering individual events for members
- Planning and delivering events for Advisory Council
- Setting up a Speaker board, engaging, briefing and guiding content and presentation for Speaker
