FintechWomen Virtual
April 22, 2020 - September 30, 2020
The unprecedented nature of this pandemic is new for all of us. Today’s normal was unthinkable a couple of months ago. In early March, at FintechWomen, we were getting ready to share a programming calendar for the rest of this year and 2021.
The access to technology has made our response to the pandemic different from the more recent other crises in 2008 and 2001. Which brought more questions: are we better equipped to respond to a crisis with today’s digital technologies, than we were at the last financial crisis a decade earlier? What does all of this mean for us as women and professionals in fintech and financial services technology?
As we spoke with the FintechWomen community, we learnt that nobody has the crystal ball for the future. There is an overwhelming agreement to learn and gain tools to understand this current normal.
Through the services of Virtual programs, we are exploring the role of fintech in speeding economic recovery. Each program is built on exploring the role fintech digital technologies will and can play in accelerating world-wide business resurgence and recovery, and identifying practical ways to help our core constituents to come out stronger on the other side.
Over the next weeks, every 2nd Wednesday we will bring business leaders, industry veterans, thought leaders to tell us how to make sense of this new world, and more importantly how can we as women in fintech, and allies and champions of women in fintech come out to this strong, connected and perhaps even upskilled!
